For nine years, Maryse Guénette was head of Option consommateurs’ Research and Advocacy department, in which role she led a team that produced numerous consumer research projects. She has also represented Option consommateurs in consultations with the government and on working committees. From 2003 to 2010, she conducted research for Option consommateurs and authored articles for major media outlets. She was previously in charge of Option consommateurs’ News Agency, and for seven years was Editor-in-chief of Consommation magazine, published by the same organization. She also worked for several years as a freelance journalist.
